I've got an EVGA uv16+ running on my MacBookPro5,3 in Snow Leopard Mac OS X 10.6.2 (10C540)

I've installed the latest (1.5b6) driver and the display does not start.

The setup I tried:
uv16 only connected USB device
DisplayPort disconnected
No Programs running

In System Info I get:
UV PLUS:
Product ID: 0x01ae
Vendor ID: 0x17e9 (DisplayLink (UK) Ltd.)
Version: 0.02
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: DisplayLink
Location ID: 0x24100000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): Unknown (Device has not been configured)
I am running in 32 bit Snow Leopard

System Software Overview:
System Version: Mac OS X 10.6.2 (10C540)
Kernel Version: Darwin 10.2.0
Secure Virtual Memory: Enabled
64-bit Kernel and Extensions: No

$ uname -a

Hi I just got the Vibook and I'm also running Snow Leopard Mac OS X 10.6.2 (10C540) in 32 bit mode. I installed VT Voila which works fine, then installed the 1.5b6 driver. When I plug the usb in, the screen just stays black.

Did I install it correctly? Because after I installed 1.5b6, the installer that came with my CD prevented me from installing the Vibook Installer, indicating I already had a new version.

Anybody have any ideas on this?
Is there any extra information I can provide or tests I can perform to help out?

I had the same thing but I am on 10.5.8. I was able to get my display working. After installing the drivers and rebooting I had a black screen. I logged out and back on and my display kicked in. I find that if I make any change to the display I have to log off and back on for them to take effect. Give it a try.

So I uninstalled my tablet driver, (just in case there was interference there) reinstalled my displaylink driver, and rebooted. Still no display detected. Logged out and in and still no change. Thanks for the suggestion though!

So I eventually just decided to reinstall my whole OS. It took me 3 months, but I now have a working USB video connection. Works fairly well. Too bad I had to resort to something so extreme to fix it.

If others are wondering if it's a configuration issue of their own here's something to try:
Use Disk Utility to shrink one of your partitions ("drives")
Create a new Partition
Install a new copy of OS X on the new partition and try installing the driver there. (This doesn't overwrite your currency installation)

That's how I discovered I could actually use what I bought.
