No audio detected after 1903 update
 

Hi Guys,

Laptop Dell Precision M6800, running Windows 10 1903 & a Dell E-Port II dock.

I have installed the latest display link driver however no audio is being detected through the dock.

If I plug the speakers directly into the laptop its fine.

Any ideas why?

The Dell E-Port II dock you mention does not use DisplayLink technology, based on the specifications Dell posts online for the unit. It is an older mechanical style dock that simply passes signals from the proprietary docking connector on the bottom of the laptop to the ports within the dock.

I don't think you need DisplayLink driver installed if you only use that Dell E-Port II docking station. That product would use other drivers as I don't believe it uses DisplayLink technology.
Does it not connect through a large port under the laptop?
