Black screen, Intel driver

Hi!

After updating to Windows 8.1 Enterprise my extended monitor is on but shows a black screen, my issue seems very similar to this thread that seems to have been solved by updating to beta Nvidia-drivers:
http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61793

The only difference I can think of in my case is that i primarily use an Intel-card. To be more specific, I have a Nvidia-chipset but it's not connected to the ports of my laptop, it can only be used for accelarations within programs.

I have followed the steps in "Exclamation HOWTO: Debugging issues on Windows with DisplayLink" and supply the Support Information.

Hi,

A couple of questions:

What did you upgrade from?

Did you install 7.4 M0 before upgrading?

Also does a reboot help?

Thanks,
James

Hi!

I upgraded from Windows 8 Enterprise.

I installed 7.4 M0 after the upgrade, before the upgrade the monitor worked just fine. :)

Rebooting does not help.

If you look into the logs it might help to know that the monitor that is connected to the displaylink is called "DELL 2001FP".

Hi,

I think R7.4 M2 should fix this.

Can you try it out?

Thanks,
James

Hi James, thanks for the reply.

I installed R7.4 M2, no luck though. :)

The screen is still black in the same way as before. As far as i can see nothing is changed but I supply new logs.

Works great!

Thanks James, now it's working like a charm! :)

Last post was a mistake on my side, I forgot that I disabled the screen in Windows to make sure all programs come up on a screen I can see. :)
