Monitor not detected after sleep or start up.
Using Windows 10, two external monitors (one through hdmi port and other through USB). I have version 7.9.478.
Whenever I turn on my computer or wake it up from sleeping the monitor running through the USB wont connect to my computer. To get it to work I have to disconnect the USB to HDMI converter from the computer, disconnect the hdmi cable from the converter, re-plug in the converter, and then reconnect the HDMI to the converter in this specific order. Otherwise it wont recognize the monitor. Is there anyway to fix this issue and just have it recognize the monitor upon start up and wake up? |
Hi,
Can you post the output of this tool so I can take a look? http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...to-displaylink Thanks, James |
Same issue with Windows 10 and Dell usb 3.0 dock
I have a similar issue. When the computer goes to sleep or hibernates and resume the external monitor will not come on, about 80+ percent of the time. It does come on occasionally. Unpluging the USB cable and plugging back in will fix it 100% of the time.

Hi Econ,
Why don't you provide the information requested then so we can assist? Regards, Alban |
Hi
I'm having the same problem with HDMI or DVI on a USB3 docking station. Coming out of sleep, the monitor is not detected and disconnecting the docking station and reconnecting fixes it. This is a major pain and has been since new. Initially the drivers were installed by Windows 10 update, but since then I have uninstalled them and reinstalled from the DisplayLink website, but the version is the same (7.9.1488.0) I have sent the results of the support tool via the website Any assistance would be appreciated. |
I am having the same problem. I have sent my diag file to the support email address.
