1680x1050 on HP USB 2.0 docking station and Samsung 2343bw
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
Iam not able to turn my new HP USB 2.0 docking station to display higher resolution than 1280x1024 on a Samsung Syncmanster 2343BW. I understand that the native resolution (2048x1152) its not supported by the DisplayLink chip, but i would expect, that it could run on 1680x1050 witch is supported by both devices. DisplayLink Support Files can be found in the attachement. Thanks in advance for any help. |
Here is the list of the modes supported by your monitor:
Display Modes ============= 640x480x24@60 800x600x24@56 800x600x24@60 1024x768x24@60 1280x960x24@60 1280x1024x24@60 2048x1152x24@60 It runs on 1280x1024 as this is the highest resolution supported by both docking station and the monitor. Regards |
Thanks Pawel,
it seems you are right, strange is that in the manual I downloaded from Samsung support page is the list of modes much longer. But when I connected the monitor to other graphics card 1680x1050 was not supported either. Bad luck. |
