No Taskbar Icon after install - Targus ACP70USZ USB 3.0 Dock

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
I'm tried installing the drivers/software for my newly purchased Targus USB3.0 docking station (ACP70USZ) and seem to be having some trouble getting everything to work correctly. I've got a brand new Lenovo T530 running Win7 Pro.

After plugging in the hardware, the auto install window popped up and all drivers installed correctly except for USB audio driver and the Ethernet driver.

I then downloaded the latest HW firmware as well as the latest DisplayLink drivers to make sure everything is up to date. However, after the install, the taskbar icons used to control multiple monitors never appeared.

In the device manager, the only "issue" is with the DisplayLink Ethernet adapter. It says the driver is up to date but "the device cannot start Code10". I should mention that the usb ports appear to be working on the docking station...

I've attached the log files taken with the DisplayLink diagnostic tool. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, my main concern isn't with the audio or the ethernet... I just need the multiple monitor support...

Thank you

Hi,

By the latest HW firmware do you mean the firmware for the dock's hub?

Thanks,
James

here's the two files I attempted to load (from the Targus website):

ACP7_firmware_v4401_20130508.exe

DisplayLink_7.2M1.exe

I believe the last one is also the latest driver on the displaylink site.

Hi,

Thanks for the information - we're trying to reproduce this issue internally.

Thanks,
James

got it to work. the usb3.0 host controller driver was the issue. the win7 driver updater said it was the most recent but the intel website showed otherwise.
thanks
