5.1 audio mac
 

Hi,
There is anyway to use 5.1 audio with dynadock u3.0?
I've bought it because 5.1 audio and now i can't configure it.

I made changes on sytem preferences and on midi control and i con't put it to work.

If you can help i'll be gratefull for.

We checked this dock with latest 10.12 macOS and both analog outputs (3x stereo jacks at the back of the Toshiba docking station) and digital 5.1 via HDMI are working correctly.

You are right that you need to look in Audio Mini Setup. By default docking station is coming as stereo device.

In left pane select your docking station (initially you should see next to the name of docking station (dynadock Audio or similar) 0 ins / 2 outs.

In right pane make sure your docking station is default sound device.
Then change format from 2ch to 6ch.

After this operation you should see for your docking station 0 ins / 6 outs in left pane and much more sliders for other channels in right pane.

This should be all to change. Please, also make sure that you do have good 5.1 audio sample/source.
