Useful diagnostics for LInux?
 

Are there any testing/diagnostic tools available, especially under Linux or available as source, but would accept most anything?

I'm having intermittent failures, either on startup or within 10 minutes of startup...will sometimes work for a day and then the next, I can't keep it working for more than 10 minutes. Multiple units. Green screen or black screen.
