DisplayLink + ZoneScreen
Hi,
I am using an USB to HDMI Unitek y-2270 card with ZoneScreen (http://www.zoneos.com/zonescreen.htm). Whenever I want to watch a video (tested: youtube.com / *.avi) all the screens flicker for a while and then either the video plays normally or the flickering doesn't stop and I have to kill some processes, because the CPU is 100% all the time (usually it's an UltraMon process). I am using: - Toshiba Tecra M4 with GeForce 6600 TE 128MB - ZoneScreen 1.1.13.0 - Windows XP SP3 Tablet Edition Here is a video (I hope the problem is visible - it was my first ever video recorded): http://screwattack.com/videos/Displa...ange-behaviour (there is also a second one). Here is my screen configuration: http://img857.imageshack.us/i/clipboard01x.png/ //edit: oh, and the problem occurs only when one or more of the ZoneScreens are active. Regards |

Attached some files (before and after playing the youtube video).

I think you're maxing out the CPU on this system. You have 4 virtual displays connected and each display will need CPU to encode the video changes in real-time and send them to the device. This is on a 2.2Gig M processor that is not that powerful.
DisplayLink supports 1 full screen video on a USB display at a time. For this to work, you need to have less displays or a more powerful PC. This current spec isn't going to do what you want. Wim |
