I have no display at all out of the UV+ with the 1.7b2 driver on Lion.

More info

I noticed a lot of stuttering with the mouse, etc, until I removed the driver.

Evan more info

7/21/11 8:59:30.000 PM kernel: 0 0 AppleUSBCDC: start - initDevice failed

I wonder if that might indicate a problem.

This is a new out of box about 2 hours ago, so I would find it hard to believe that it has failed.

The AppleUSBCDC is the Apple extension for USB communication device, so it shouldn't be related to the DisplayLink card. Are you using any USB network adapter?

Looking at your debug information, it seems that the driver is unable to communicate with the USB device. We are still investigating the issue.
Could you please plug-in the DisplayLink card, run the USB Prober (Developer/Applications/Utilities), select the Port Status tab, press Save Output and post the resulting file? Thanks

Update

See attached zip for log files and read on for more info. I got it working once for about 30 seconds but then it stopped. That was with nothing else plugged into the Mac except power and the UV+. My latest config follows.

My config:
MacBook Pro
8MB RAM
Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter
Mac USB Keyboard plugged into Macbook USB port 1
Logitec M705 wireless mouse plugged into keyboard.
Airport off
1G Ethernet active
UV+19 plugged into Macbook USB port 2

With the above config, a cold restart without the UV+ plugged in. After the system normalizes, I plug the UV+ in and get no display except for a flicker when I mouse over to it and the kernel.log showing the following:

What's the deal

So what's the deal guys? I paid lots of $$ for this thing, it don't work and you all have had two business days to update this post. What's up with that? I would gladly accept this level of service if it was free, but it wasn't.

I would like a fix today, not that I expect one, but at least some sort of reply would be nice.

Tim

Beta 3

Can you all answer a simple quick question? When can we expect beta 3?

trotunda 07-29-2011 12:39 PM

Contact

I got an email from support. They said they would take the additional info and get back to me in 3 business days. It's something at least.
