DisplayLink Updates when switching from Mac to Windows
 

Problem when switching between Mac and Windows on the same computer with the same displaylink device:

When switching back to windows there is always an update procedure (DisplayLink updating... do not unplug device.). And the displaylink device is not working from the beginning (e.g. on login screen).

It seems the Mac driver install an older firmware version to the device.

This is normal behaviour. Our drivers always make sure the device runs the firmware which matches the software best. You would also see this if you connect the device to two Windows machines running different version of Windows driver.
