Simultaneous Multiple Screen Touch Input

Does display link currently have a way to set up two or more mouse pointers using two or more touchscreen which would allow each screen to touch at the same time and register all the inputs separately on its own screen?

Can display link be used with team player or some other software to accomplish that goal?

PS
How is display link utilized by paid apps such as air display or twomon? Can display link be used without any additional third party software to turn tablets into second monitors?

Hello,

Thanks for your enquiry.
DisplayLink does not do anything involving touch technology. I don't believe Windows supports multiple mouse cursors. However latest versions can support multiple touch pads that can be mapped to multiple displays.
In any case, using DisplayLink or not has no impact on the touch feature: as this is not our technology, our driver does not deal with it. The touch technology and driver will not know it is mapped to a DisplayLink display so no impact there either.

On any platform today you will need DisplayLink app or driver installed to send video to a device using DisplayLink technology. We have not licensed our algorithm to anyone else today and you need a DisplayLink chip in the receiving hardware to benefit from DisplayLink high quality and low latency algorithm.
Once the driver is present, you can use any application.

Kind regards,
Alban

Thanks for some very nice information Alban.

Do you think you might be able to provide a link or some search terms to find more information about this? So far I've scratched the surface of the microsoft SDK, though it sounds to me like you might know more about someone who has used that base to already make a higher level implementation?

Warmly baked,

Hello,

We use touchscreen televisions on some conference rooms.
I used Control Panel > Tablet PC Settings, to assign an external display a touch surface.

Kind regards,
Alban
