Bumping this post again.
No response from DL admins or anything? This is obviously a widespread issue, so I'd hope we get some kind of response here.

Any updates on this? It crashes 10+ times a day at least!

Is there any other 3rd party software that anyone found that works? Would love for this to stop happening.

The update did not fix the problem. App still...

The update did not fix the problem. App still crashes regularly.
I can supply logs if needed.

Also I signed up for email notifications and never got one!

Still having the issue - some days it gets so bad...

Still having the issue - some days it gets so bad it is hard to actually turn off the DisplayLink Manager - can't even get the mouse to go to click quit on the built-in screen.

Same issue here. Same setup: OSX Sonoma, newest DisplayLink software, on a Macbook Pro M1. Main laptop screen randomly freezes for a couple seconds, secondary monitor seems fine.
