I was about to ask the same question... The good folks at DoubleSight finally told me to return the monitor even though I tested it on a clunky Windows computer and it worked!

They sent me links...

Unhappy Same Problem in Both Mac OSs

I'm having the same problem with my DoubleSight DS-90U in BOTH Leopard and Snow Leopard. Tech support at DS was not helpful.
