Yes I tried ScreenBright connecting the monitor directly instead of through DisplayLink (same PC, same monitor) and it worked fine, so think DisplayLink is the issue.
JamesH or other DisplayLink...

I'm having the same problem. Supposedly DisplayLink allows DDC adjustments but I tried using ScreenBright and it says no compatible monitors detected. Directly connecting my monitor (Dell U2412M)...
