Same issue

I have (and reproduce) same issue as above w/ same error in dmesg.

Monitor known good, works in Ubuntu 16.04 as well as Win 10.

I agree. Also struggling with this. Not sure what 'really close' is or means. I can get the display to blink when I install the drivers, but no picture, and nothing else happens.

wondering if there was a driver update planned that would fix this issue. I prefer not to run aero to keep my system resources down (despite quad core, 8 GB RAM, nvidia cards similar to above...
