I also experience black screen after the Windows 10 anniversary update.
Windows 10 running on Apple Macbook Air bootcamp.
ThinkPad USB 3.0 dock. Two external monitors connected.
Everything works fine unless Windows 10 anniversary update a few days ago. Then both external monitors went dark. System does not detect these monitors. Other functions of the ThinkPad USB 3,0 dock works fine after the Windows 10 anniversary update, i.e. USB drive and network etc.
Have tried to update Apple software.
Have tried the following steps:
- Disconnect ThinkPad Basic USB 3.0 Dock
- Remove DisplayLink Core Software
- Use End User Cleaner tool
- Install new ThinkPad 3.0 USB driver from
https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/pd023761. It is released on Aug 31, 2016 and contains DisplayLink Core Software 8.0.778.0 (DisplayLink 8.0 M2) according to the release note.
Still no good.
FYI the Device Manager\Display Adapter shows an exclamation mark by the ThinkPad USB 3,0 Dock entry. Status Detail in Property says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".
