You are using different versions of Windows in the 2 laptops.
The graphics part of Windows changed between these two versions of Windows, and means that the DisplayLink device is now recognized as a standard display ***adapter***.
The graphics processing unit (= ***card*** or GPU) stays the same as before. DisplayLink does not, and never has been a graphics card computing pixels.
You would need to get more details from the failing software. But I would say it can come from the application which is not made for Windows 10 Anniversary Update and does not understand the concept of indirectly connected displays to the graphics card. It could also come from the graphics driver...
