Annoyingly, they are both labelled as Model:WS-UGA12D1, so I can only distinguish by serial number.

It's not DisplayLink's fault, but how come the manufacturer can produce 2 devices with different chips, hence different capabilities, yet market them as the same model?!

Unfortunately, even if I bought another one, I presumably can't guarantee to get the DL-160 chips since I might get old stock unless I specify it must support 1680x1050.

When was the newer chip released?
