Exclamation Win 10 / 3005pr Port Replicator / Losing Monitors

Been having some ongoing issues with my secondary monitor blacking out and failing. Reboots will bring it back, but at some random point it will just fail again. The screen will also flicker/fail/restart - but eventually end up failing and falling back to a single monitor.

Update: I have also tried the latest Win 10 driver posted on the DisplayLink site, but have not seen stability improvements.

Details on my setup:
  • PC: HP Elitebook 745 G3
  • OS: Windows 10 - 64-bit
  • OS Build: 10.0.14393
  • External Monitor: HP L2445w
  • Connection Cable: Braided HDMI (replicator) to DVI (monitor)

In terms of previous troubleshooting, I've already had the PC replaced once. I've also gone through and uninstalled and reinstalled all the docking software and the DisplayLink software. I have also tried the End User Cleaner, but can't tell when this is actually doing anything as it just presents an idling black DOS screen and never shows commands executed or any kind of progress activity. I have also validated to the best of my ability that I am using the latest ATI device drivers for my graphics card.

After a reboot yesterday I cleared all my Event Viewer logs and waited for my monitor to fail on me again. I pulled the log entries this morning that show the first critical errors at the time of the failure. I found two different entries:
