I installed the 1.8 driver before upgrading to Moutain Lion. So far it's working fine with 10.8 and 10.8.1.

The issues I had with previous versions of the DisplayLink Driver, mainly display freezing with mouse pointer still active, are gone since the 1.8 driver was released.
