My laptop is the Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition with Ubuntu 16.04 stock (with Unity) except for the kernel that is the 4.8.0-30-generic. What can I do?
I have the same issue and the workaround I am using is to disable unity and use metacity instead. Then the CPU usage goes down a lot.
