Win10 won't display on more than 7 Plugable devices
Hi,
We have the following setup on a couple Dell Optiplex Ci5 computers: 1x USB3-HUB10C2 10x Plugable UGA-3000 (with the latest driver) with 10x Dell monitors 1x AMD video card (one monitor connected via DVI and another via Display port) All 12 monitors are working fine while on Win7 however we recently upgraded one of them to Win10 and it stopped displaying on all monitors. We performed the suggested steps to upgrade to Win10 which involved removing the devices, etc. and we also made sure to install the latest driver. (DisplayLink Windows Driver Version 8.0 M3) All the devices are detected in the Device Manager however 3 of the monitors only show a blank screen. Has anyone experienced this with Win10? Hello
I had the same experience as you. I sell all my USB sreens. And I no longer want to hear about Displaylink. I have always been annoyed by my USB connections, and when I ask for help or answers here, I have never had an answer or advice. I bought a software that is of no use to me, this one : http://www.displaylink.com/downloads...-monitor-tools But it's the same problème, It does not solve my problem. I bought displayport and hdmi screens, and bye bye DisplayLink and its USB ports that do not work. There is a big communication problem here, for me it's too late. Bye Markus |

Hello Grevalve,
Have you contacted Plugable on that one already? This sounds like something they looked at. I did ask Microsoft weeks ago and they don't know of a hardcoded limit. On Windows 7, there is a limit of 16 sources per adapter and 2 are usually allocated to the connectors on the card itself. I'll liaise back with Plugable on this to know what they have done and see what the next step will be. Kind regards, Alban

Hey Grevalve,
I've created a bug report for engineering to look into this. Would you please be able to post the logs using the tool as described in my forum signature? For increase chances of reproduction, and verify changes, we want to select a machine as close to your as possible. ZIP attachments on the forums can only be downloaded by DisplayLink employees. Kind regards, Alban

Hello,
Yes, it made its way to the top of the queue and now needs to be picked up by a tester to reproduce. As we don't believe we have a limit in our driver, this is unlikely to be a quickie, but once reproduced by a tester, we need a developer to look into it. I keep an eye on the board and will update you when/if we need more details from you. But the repro seems quite simple so I doubt we will need more. Kind regards, Alban

Hello,
I have an update on this one. It looks like there might be a limit on the number of USB endpoints. This is not linked to the number of displays or the number of devices. There is no limitation in our driver. Could you please give me your machine details? Using the last link of my forum signature, you can create log files. In them System_Details.TXT will include the machine details. Also, can you confirm this is the same machine on which it was working before but stopped after changing the OS? Kind regards, Alban
