Blur effect on Win 10 full HD
Hi,
I've installed the 8.1 M0 version and I still have a blur effect on 2 external screens. The native laptop screen is full HD 1920*1080. Both externel screen are full HD 1920*1080 too. Zoom is 100% OS is Win 10 x64 build 1607 Blur don't exist on laptop screen when not connected to Acer universal usb 3.0 docking station. In this case, Excel is able to display about 31 lines. When I connect the docking station, blur arrives and Excel display about 42 lines. Screen resolution hasn't changed and zoom is still 100%. So what's the matter ???? |

Hello,
Blur or fuzzy display on an LCD panel comes from the fact, usually, that the resolution assigned does not match the native resolution of the panel. In cathodic tubes (TVs from my youth), each element of the picture is not really discrete so it's always somewhat blurry and you can afford changing half way through a "dot". You can't do that in digital with LCD/OLED...: it is either on or off. So if there is a resolution mismatch, it doesn't look good. You need to check that the resolution you choose for your external displays are matching their native resolution from the documentation, without any Fit-to-TV or other overscan/zoom trickery on the display, if you want to have the crispy image. Should you provide the logs as described in the third link of my forum signature, I can look into your particular case and what the external displays needs to be set at to get the best image. Kind regards, Alban
