Sleeping Monitor
I am having the same problem a lot of people seem to be having. The monitor connectioned to my IOGear GUC2020dw6 goes to sleep. Right after installing the displayLink drivers, all is good. Once the PC is rebooted, the monitor is recognized by Win 7 but goes to sleep. If I remote into the PC using I can see both monitors, but the user at the PC can still only see the main one. I am not getting the PID_8063. I have attached the log files requested. We currently have 50 to 60 attached to PCs and some work and some do not.

Hi,
Something is up with the hardware. Could you follow these steps to help me diagnose this? 1. Disconnect the adapter (if connected) 2. Disconnect the monitor from the known to fail adapter 3. Uninstall the DisplayLink software 4. Reboot 5. Install the DisplayLink software 6. Connect the known to fail adapter to the PC (but don't connect the monitor to the adapter) 7. Reboot 8. Run the support tool and attach the logs. Thanks, James |
