Please download the Windows DisplayLink debug tool from the website below, then gather the system information and upload the zip file to this thread. (delete memory.dmp file from the zip file if its too large to upload it)

I have attached the zip.. Be aware the the Arkview usb1612 Display Adapter shows up in Device Manager as a USB Display Adapter under USB Display Adapters. Windows does not see this under Control Panel/Display as a display Device ... It also shows up under Universal Serial Bus controllers as a Generic USB Hub. In previous attempts i have tried updating these drivers manually with no success.
The debug log is from a clean install of the latest stable driver located on this page http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php and after plugging the Arkview usb1612 into a fresh USB ports with 0 modifications made to Device Manager. |

It appears that the chip in the device is not booting up properly. Product ID= 0x8060 shows that it has booted from the bootrom (rather than the EEPROM). This means it will not enable any video outputs. Could you try unplugging all cables from the adapter, then connect USB and then connect the DVI cable. This should resolve the problem you're experiencing.

Same thing with Windows 2008 x64
I experience the same with 2008 Enterprise 64bit version.
I have tried unplugging usb, re-insert usb, then video cable... nothing |

Hardware works, displaylink 5.6 does not
I checked all the logs and there is no 8060
Also, I own 6 iogear usb to dvi usb adapaters... They all work perfectly with Windows 7 x64 with Displaylink software ver 5.4... There is no hardware problem. |
