Monitors do not return from Standby
This issue was reported under 5.3/5.4 as well. link
I see this issue in one of two ways. 1) with the USB dongle and screen attached, i can resurrect the screen by locking it, or pressing ALT+CTRL+DEL. If the screen is already locked, I have to remove the dongle and plug it back in. 2) with the USB dongle unplugged and a 2nd external monitor plugged into the VGA port on my laptop, i have no options. The screen is completely non responsive and will not turn back on. I have to force power down my laptop to get any screen to come back. Machine: Dell Precision M4500. Windows 7 x64 nVidia Quadro 1800M 3 external Dell 2007FP's (when i'm in my office) - 3x DVI 1 external Dell 2007FP + Laptop screen (when i'm at my house) - 1x VGA This issue is frustrating and bothersome as this hardware was recommended by Dell for use in my laptop. Please advise, I can provide whatever information is required on demand. Thanks, |

Could you please download the Windows DisplayLink debug tool from the website below, then gather the system information and upload the zip file.
This would give us more information as to what is wrong. http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 Thanks, Pawel |

It gathered the data, but failed to zip it. Upon zipping it manually, the file is quite large. The raw data is 1.07GB. (The compression is still running, but is already nearly 50mb).

The file is 219MB. There is a 800MB memory dump file present. The forum has a 30MB limit on attachments.

Wow, I was told in a different thread that this issue only affects the MIMO UM-710S...

Mimo 7" Monitor No Backlight on Boot
Using the latest beta 5.5 driver.
i7 Processor Win 7 x86 6GB Ram ATI Radeon 5700 (latest driver) Upon booting the Mimo 7" monitor will not power on with a backlight. It works fine if you unplug the USB cable and replug it in. The power light flashes after doing this until you press it to power on the monitor. Then everything works normally. On a separate identical system with the 10" monitor there are zero issues. This only affects the 7" monitor. I know of three other users with the identical issue on the 7" monitor. Please let me know if there is something I can to fix the issue or provide additional troubleshooting information. Mack |
