I have this same problem. I installed DisplayLink_iPad_v5.6_M1.exe, but the end is: "nothing" - no confirm, no settings (password etc.), no program data on HDD
My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate. |

No Power on Display Device
While I can get the displaylink device to work under windows 7 very effectively, if I power off the device and disconnect the PC from it, any subsequent attempt to reconnect fails to recognise the device.
The symptoms are: Unconnected the power light is blinking. All the software has been successfully installed and was working on a revious occasion. If I plug the USB lead into the PC the power light goes out and there is no hardware changes detected on the PC. The only way I have corrected this issue in the past, is to restore the system to an earlier state and go through a brand new install process. This unfortunately has occured again. Have followed the instructions from the previous post and the debugging tips, but cannot get the displaylink hub recognised on my system Diagnostics files attached Last edited by Brendan; 01-28-2012 at 02:06 PM. Reason: Recurrence of problem |

I just registered to say I had this same issue as was able to resolve it. I uninstalled the program via control panel and re-ran the installation explicitly as an admin (right click install file > Run as Admin)
This fixed the issue for me and I had the password dialog popup at the end of the install and had the system tray icon running. The software seems to be running fine now on my iPad 2. My OS is Win 7 Ultimate x64 |

I think your problem with the install is caused by the LogMeIn driver you have. This can confuse our install. If you uninstall LogMeIn, then install DisplayLink iPad software, then reinstall LogMeIn, it should work Wim |
