Default Metro issues

I have a 800 x480 USB 2 touch monitor. I have the latest Windows 8 driver installed. The monitor works fine but as long as the driver is installed, many of the Metro Apps will not run. If it was just the resolution I would have expected that disabling the monitor via the displayLink control panel woud fix the issue but I have to completely uninstall the driver before the Metro Apps work again. Any suggestions?

I think the issue is well known as a bug in the current driver. Please read through other posts about similar issues.

I have found that when installed, the screen works fine but graphical Metro apps won't work, even though all of my screens are above the minimum resolution for Metro. However, I need to uninstall the driver to get it all working again.

Yes - we are aware of the Metro issues and are currently working on support for Metro apps for future releases.
