Default Macbook pro, running windows 7, Nvidia driver crash

Hello,

I'm unsure if this is a Displaylink problem or a Nvidia problem...

I have been using two monitors connected via displaylink to the usb ports on my Macbook pro running windows 7 in bootcamp without any issues for a year or so.

Just recently my system crashed and i had to reinstall everything. The problem now is that everything connects fine and runs ok for a few minutes, then the screens freeze and i get the message 'Nvidia display/kernel mode driver has stopped working and recovered successfully'.It then works for a few minutes again and does it again.

I'm not really sure whats different than before that could be causing this. One thought is that part of the bootcamp installation process includes Nvidia drivers but didn't before??
I tried deleting them but my system wouldn't work without them.

Additionally, without the monitors connected everything works fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hello,

That sounds like you might now have an outdated nVidia driver.
As we add displays to it, this may brings some bugs to light...

This error is called a successful timeout detection recovery or successful TDR.
When Windows is not successful at recovering this within 10 seconds, it crashes with the famous blue screen.

If you post the logs as described in the last link of my signature, we can also see if there is potentially something else... but that's where I would look first.

Kind regards,
Alban
