I had a look at the kernel panic you posted in the "Mac 1.8 Alpha release" thread and it seems that the panic is caused by the nVidia card. If you get a different kernel panic, please post the kernel panic log here.
The DisplayLink driver doesn't interect directly with the nVidia card, but of course we can't exclude any indirect interaction.
Could you please try to re-install 1.7 driver and check if you don't get the kernel panic anymore?
Are you using any particular software that could cause the panic? I see in the kext list that you have wmware and virtual box installed. Were one of these software running when the panic occurred? Thanks
