Default Very high disk I/O for displaylinkmanager.exe

Why would displaylinkmanager.exe be slowing down a laptop with excessive disk writes?

Laptop is a Dell XPS14 with 8GB RAM running 8.1 64bit.

Re installed Displaylink still the same.
Ran the Client Clean utility and installed again did not help
Same issue in 7.4, 7.5 and 7.6

No external USB drives, just the docking station, Bluetooth keyboard/mouse and two monitors.

Any ideas? Laptop is really slow and when you look at task manager it is from DisplayLinkManager.exe doing writes.

Thanks

I assume you have not turned on advanced logging with our debug tool? Is there a lot of files being updated in c:\program files\DisplayLink core software\debug\?
