Default [Help] Displaylink not showing any life

Hello,

I recently bought a USB 3.0 to 4K Adapter (USB32HD4K) and installed 2.4b1, but when I connect the device, it doesn't show up or anything.

I tried the command:
Quote:
sudo mkdir /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools
And received:
Quote:
mkdir: /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools: File exists
Then I tried:
Quote:
ls -al /Library | grep PrivilegedHelperTools
And received:
Quote:
drwxr-xr-t 11 root wheel 374 28 apr 14:39 PrivilegedHelperTools
I'm running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.2 on a 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina.

Hi,

We'll need logs to understand what is going on.

The log tool is at http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269
You can attach the logs here or send them through http://www.displaylink.com/support/ask_question.php

Thank you,
Carlo

Hello, how long does it usually take to get an answer? Not that I don't have any patience, but if the product isn't working, I want to return it in time. Thanks

Hi D4rryl,

We're looking into this but we can't figure out what's wrong. It appears that the communication with the monitor is not happening correctly. Still, in these cases you should be able to see some default resolutions.

At the moment I can only suggest the obvious: check cables, try the monitor with different systems, try a different video interface if you have the right cables for it.

Which monitor model is it? I guess you are using HDMI to connect to it.

Regards,
Carlo
