Default Ubuntu 16.10 No Display Funcitonality

Bought an E1659F, running Ubuntu 16.10 on an ASUS laptop, followed the instructions, no joy.

Tried with supplementary power.

Went thru first 5 pages of forum, no useful info that helped.

Using supplied cable.

Please see attached log.

Hi,

I can't read the screenshot, it's too tiny. I do see however that your machine has secure boot enabled - see the sticky post in this forum - you should either disable it or sign evdi kernel module yourself.

Logs show that evdi kernel module is not loaded at all, therefore DisplayLinkManager also does not start.

Cheers,
Michal

Hey,
I am having the same problem. I turned off the secure boot option, still the display does not work. Were you able to resolve the issue?
Thanks
Chirag
