Default Optimize for video option

Hello,

I have a Mimo 720S usb display (USB\VID_17E9&PID_0335&REV_0115
) and I'm a bit intrigued with the "Optimize for video option" has it appears to do the exact opposite of the option when it's enabled.
As in, when that option is enabled videos get blocky/pixelated and there are is a noticeable delay between, for example, right-clicking on the desktop to show the menu, it appearing and focusing. When the option is not selected everything is fine.

Is this the normal behaviour?

It's supposed to lower the display quality to allow video to play faster. I don't use it either; although, I've hardly been able to get any video to play on it.
