Thumbs down win 8.1 upgrade - broken system

I upgraded to 8.1 - didn't expect a problem.
Previously working Kensington K33928 failed.

Read the support doc:
http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=346

Uninstall unsuccessful, (no displayLink software visible) tried the displaylink cleaner tool. Not clear whether it worked. (really needs a UI doesn't it?)

Reboot

Tried to install DisplayLink_7.5M2

It generates a popup that is too fast to read, then stops.

So now I have apparently no displaylink driver installed, yet unable to install a new one.

I have run DisplayLink Support Tool 1.0.0.19.exe: results attached.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks,
John

Default anybody?

This issue has beaten me, I can't uninstall or install the displaylink software.
This was a completely working system under Win 8.0, and the 8.1 upgrade killed it.
Can I provide any further information than that contained in my original post?

BTW when I wrote "Read the support doc" in meant "I read the support doc" (Just in case I sounded rude )

Thanks in advance
John
