Default Applications loose their positions on screens / v2.4 / D3100 / MBpro

1. After wake-up, it seems like screens loose their memory of what each one was displaying before going asleep.
  • Leaving an application window per screen
  • Entering sleep mode
  • Waking up (nothing has been disconnected / moved between sleep-wakeup cycle)
  • Application windows are not on the same screens or invisible (staying on 'previous' screens which can not be seen anymore)
  • The only solution i found is minimizing all windows and then rearranging them again to the same locations on 'fresh' screens.
Is this behaviour related to the usb3-to-expresscard and not native usb3? Anyone with similar issues?

2. Lags. Are those normal for my setup (no native USB3 support onboard)?
For working with text / reading / coding it's not a problem, but moving windows across the screens definitely feels slow. Youtube demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE0RamfgoVs

3 external monitors on a macbook pro laptop.
Central monitor is plugged directly into native miniDisplayPort (thus exhibiting fast almost invisible refresh rate). Two side monitors hooked into D3100 (both HDMI outputs). D3100 plugged into USB3-to-expressPort/34 card ECUSB3S11 from Startech which is operated by MacBook Pro 17" (Late 2009).
