Default Varidrive multiple display issue

Hi,

I recently bought an Asus Varidrive and have been trying to run two monitors through it (one through the VGA output and one through the hdmi output) however have been unsuccessful so far. I've gone through the troubleshooting steps and am attaching the log file.

When I connect both monitors, only one of them is detected by my laptop (the hdmi input). I can get both monitors working if I plug one in via the varidrive and one directly into the laptop. I'm connecting the varidrive directly to the laptop (not via a USB hub).

Hopefully you guys can help.

Cheers,

Dan

Hi,

Only one monitor will work on the Varidrive at any one time.

If you have two attached only the HDMI attached monitor will display anything.

Thanks,
James

Hmmm, that surprises me, as I saw this online: http://www.everythingusb.com/asus-varidrive-21718.html

" Its video processor can drive up to two displays at resolution up to 2048 by 1152 (16:9)"

That certainly seems to imply that it can drive two displays at once.

Is this a hardware issue or a displaylink compatibility issue? Or is it simply that USB 3.0 is not fast enough to send information to 2 displays?
