Default No Power Save Mode

I'm running (2) Samsung 24" monitors - one through my MacBook Pro's DisplayPort and the second with a ViBook+ adapter. I have noticed several differences in performance but one that is killing me is Power Save Mode using the ViBook+, or lack thereof I should say. My MacBook Pro display will kick into Power Save Mode after a period, immediately followed by the monitor connected via DisplayPort. The monitor on the ViBook+ adapter, though, stays on for hours -- not actually displaying anything, just black, but on nonetheless. I'm not looking for an answer to this problem so much as I am hoping that the Village Tronics people are reading this and taking notes regarding outstanding issues and actively working on fixes for them in upcoming driver releases.

Please, this one needs to be addressed.

Thanks.

...it may also be worth noting that I am using a MacBook Pro model 5,1 with Snow Leopard 10.6.2.
