When wake from the standby the displaylink monitor comes with black screen (Not accessible by the mouse).

This use to work before.

Tried to disconnect from the mac and connect to an windows and works fine, connecting back to the mac, black screen again.

After a reboot, back to work and now can choose the Background. After 2 days without rebooting, happened again.

I have the same issue. I have two DisplayLink monitors controlled over DisplayPort -- one always wakes from sleep and the other doesn't. It is still recognized as a monitor within the Displays control panel but nothing will cause it to show the image until you reboot. It's similar to your situation where a reboot will take care of it. Hope that gets fixed.

Exclamation

Just reconfirming that the issue is consistent.

If wake-up with the usb connected, black screen all the times.

Even if sleep and wake-up again disconnected the issue persists.

Need to restart, with displaylink unplugged, plug after boot to work.

Any comments from the DisplayLink staff?

Does it start working properly when you select a mode for the DisplayLink-attached screen? Please go to System Preferences -> Displays, grab all windows and select a mode for the screen that is recognized but shows nothing. If that fixes it, then it is a known problem which we already fixed.

Thanks,
Michal

I have the same problem and this doesn't fix it. System prefs sees the screen. Can still drag things onto it, but its completely black and only a restart will fix it. Tried changing resolutions and refresh rates; nothing.

Even still, having to reconfigure the screen every time you open your laptop would be an absolute pain, even if it did work!

Tried your workaround without success. If the computer return from the standby with the DisplayLink already connected, do not recognize the 3rd monitor. If I go to the Display > Arrangement shows only 2 minitors (Notebook + HDMI).

Only after an reboot without the displaylink connected and connect after login that work.

Tried multiple times in different machines, do NOT WORK all the times.

Please try the new Alpha 3 build and see if this resolves it.

Thanks!

Solved the issue. I'm not sure if is related to the update or multiple reboots.

Now just sometimes after sleep take too long to show the 3rd monitor or few times I need to unplug and plug again the USB 3.0 to work.
