Default Dell Latitude E7440 with D5000 wireless Dock

Hi there,

I am currently using the V7.7 beta on my Dell Latitude E7440 with Dell D5000 wireless Dock.

When playing music or watching a movie (youtube) while docked the music or video just freezes after seconds. When I reload it will play for a while and then freezes again.

All other things work perfectly even when video or music is freezed.
Sometimes after reloading the music sounds like its echoeing.

Setup:

Dell Latitude E7440 / Core i5 / 8Gb ram / 256 Gb SSD / Touch Screen
Dell D5000 wireless dock (less than 1cm from the laptop so no interferance)
Dell Ultra 24" IPS panel
Dell (Logitech) wireless keyboard and mouse (connector in laptop otherwise lag on mouse and keyboard)

The music and video problems werent there with the previous (non beta) version. The keyboard and mouse lag with wireless desktop set has been around since the beginning.

if you need any more information then please let me know.

Hi,

As soon as the issue is seen please attach the output of this tool:
http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269
Once downloaded, please run it and select "Gather Support Information"

When you reply please select "Manage Attachments" from the "Additional Options" section below.

From there select Upload and navigate to the output of the tool which will be in a folder called "DisplayLink Support Files" on your desktop.

Thanks,
James

Hi James,

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately I havent received a notice of your reply so it took a few days for me to response.

I have uploaded the data you asked for I ran the tool right after video playback stopped (youtube)

If you need any more information please let me know!

Kind regards,

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

Couple of further questions:

Do you see this if playing the same YouTube clip on your notebook (with the dock disconnected)?

Does this happen with the 7.7 Beta 2 installed?

Thanks,

Hi James,

No the video and music playback is just fine when te laptop is not hooked up to the dock.

The same thing happens when I use beta 2.

Gilbert

Hi,

Can you check if you see this if you play the same video through the notebook's speakers?

Also when the issue occurs is it just the YouTube clip that is affected? Can you still use the mouse and keyboard when this happens?

Thanks,
James

Hi James,

When this occurs it only affects playback of youtube movies or playback of for instance spotify or windows media player.

The mouse and keyboard or not affected nor is the playback of Windows sounds!

I dont understand the first question, do you mean playback the youtube video while docked to the D5000 but with sound over the laptop speakers instead of desktop speakers?

Regards,

Gilbert

Hi,

Yes that's correct, please advise if you see this issue with the sound over the laptop speakers instead of desktop speakers.

Thanks,
James
