Default Maximizing monitor display size...

I have two Samsung monitors.

One I use with my desktop and one I am now using with my display link adapter (plus notebook).

On my desktop, the display goes right to the extreme edges of the monitor.
Not a single inch is wasted.

Right now, on my Display Link/notebook setup there is a big blank border surrounding all four sides of the display, wasting around 1/4 of display real estate.

I can't see a way right now to change the display so that the entire monitor is used for the display.

Any tips?

Well this is really weird and embarrassing.

I had plugged in another tablet today (Dell VP8) with the adapter and all was good.
The HDMI cable going from the monitor goes into the Display Link adapter and then to the tablet.

After using the DVP8 I went back to my ASUS notebook/tablet.
But I forgot I was still using the DVP8 HDMI cable.

My ASUS HDMI cable goes from the monitor directly to the ASUS.
So I had been bypassing the Display Link altogether.
But it used to display full screen this way before.

Anyhow. Long story short. With the Display Link adapter it is now showing full screen.
I didn't touch any screen setting.

Question:
There is no issue using the Display adapter for both monitor and ethernet connection at the same time?

Hello,

Thank you for posting the reply.

You can use all at the same time. The algorithm on the computer is adaptative and will therefore adjust on what is available. Using Ethernet, video and audio simultaneously is part of our testing and is a normal way of using the product. Then, I don't know which product you have so these might not be available or available through DisplayLink technology in your configuration.

Kind regards,
Alban
