multiple display link monitors

i have a setup with 4 display link monitors which used to work quite well under mountain lion.
now with maverick and the beta version i cannot get it to work properly.
sometimes i can see the 4 monitors and arrange their position even see the mouse cursor on them but application wndows are not visible in them.

at other times unless i reboot the macbook i cannot do anything with them even if they appear in the display arrangement tool
