Audio-Out (5.1-Surround-Audio-Output)

When will the USB 3.0 Mac drivers support audio output ?

We need 5.1-surround-audio output like it is possible with Toshiba Dynadock U3.


BTW: I can't see any audio output over HDMI with this Toshiba Dynadock U3.

You missed this part of the original post of the driver:

"Audio in DL-3x00 based Dock devices (with audio input) will not work." ie there is no audio out support on the docks.

Audio will be supported in release 2.0, but it will be 2.0 audio support, not 5.1.

I understand the original post. I was just asking when to expect the audio support.

Concerning 5.1 audio: Will there never be 5.1 audio support with the USB 3.0 Mac drivers? (On windows there is 5.1 audio support with the USB 3.0 DisplayLink drivers.)

(DisplayLink based 5.1 surround hardware: e.g. Kensington USB 3.0 Universal Docking Station, Toshiba Dynadock U3)
