Default Acer 1600x900

I am very frustrated, I would HAVE NEVER purchased this hardware if I knew there was not ONE single number to call for support. I bought 6 of these, ready to return them all right now.

I have a dual setup that will not work. I can use ANY workstation I have at my disposal either Win 7 or Win XP pro and it will work with most monitor setups but not this one:

Display Link WILL NOT WORK with this monitor:

Brand: Acer
Model: S201HL
Version S201HL bd
Resolution: 1600x900
Display Size: 20"

By "will not work" I mean: it is detected, but will not display anything.

WHY? I am literally pulling my hair out over this... there should be no reason why this won't work as far as I can see... NO other USB devices are plugged in.

Thumbs down DisplayLink Issue

I figured it out... it is because DisplayLink doesn't support a resolution that great.

If I turn down the resolution, the display magically turns on as soon as I hit apply. Isn't a monitor type issue.

As consumers, we should have been told this. I am sure you all know about it.

.......ugh... I stand corrected, DisplayLink the software is not the issue, it is the hardware I bought that sets the limitation.
