USB3.0 to HDMI adapter only connects to USB2 Root-HUB

Hello,

I have the following devices and softwares:
- Notebook with chipset-integrated Intel USB3.0 Host Controller
- OS: Windows 8 Pro x64
- DeLOCK USB 3.0 DisplayAdapter with DL-3000 USB3.0 Chip
- Current DL Windows Driver v7.1 M0
- The adapter is connected to a USB3 port (checked all available ports)

When I look at the "Devices on Connection" view within the device manager,
I can see that the adapter connects to the USB2 USB Enhanced controller.

There is no device connected to the USB3.0 xHCI Root Hub at all.
I've tried all available ports.

What is wrong?
