Question DISPLAYLINK USB MONITOR (ASUS MB169B+) but need an HDMI IN?

Hi,

I have an Asus MB169B+ (which only has "USB IN") and want to know if there is a cable or adaptor of some sort that allows "HDMI IN"?

This is a USB only "Displaylink device" but I would love to use it for a game console if I can.

so just get a hdmi to mini usb3 and connect it
it has a usb in, but you can have a hdmi on the other end of the cable
look fro usb3-hdmi adaptor or convertor on ebay or amazon or in any good IT store
I m,ust warn however that i have a MB169B+ and it has blown up my Mac Mini core i7 16 gb ram, destroyed my vaio windows 8.1 duo flip 13, and has not worked on any of my other devices (imac 27, macbook air 13).
It has terrible bugs, and wont work properly in any scenario. Considering it has caused two of my expensive devices to completely break, i would advise to stay as far away from the product as possible. its just not worth breaking your devices with

I have the MB169B+ monitor, and use it via the USB3 cable on two MacBook Airs, 11: & 13" and an Acer Aspire S 13 that dual boots Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04.

The monitor works perfectly on the Apple and Windows systems, and is usable, but drops frames on video on the Ubuntu install.

Strangely, on Linux, I can play video perfectly using Banshee on the MB169B+ but using VLC or Movie Player, it is unusable.

I have had no problems, as long as I use the USB3 cable. I would not try connecting with anything else, since that is the recommended interface.
