USB 3 to HDMI Adapter NOT working on MBP (10.9.5)

Hello

I have tried several different cables (latest cable was "Displayport to HDMI") with Adapter plugged into Apple display or MPB USB 3 port. Monitor works fine if I use a "Dsiaplyport to DVI" to MBP. Nothing I try with adapter brings the additional screen to "life". It is not recognized. But the adapter does show up in the system USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Bus list...so that is working.

I am using the latest Mac driver 2.4.

I have attached the appropriate logs using your tool. Please help me troubleshoot this...otherwise, I will be forced to turn in extra monitor to NASA property...and we don't want that
