Default Adapter doesn't work...

Hello,

I've This adapter since 6 months (so i'm really patient), because they say "compatible mac" so...

http://www.amazon.fr/Nouveauté-trans...239074&sr=8-29

I tested the alpha version, unfortunately it does not work for me. I tried everything, changing USB port, reboot, ...

Nothing.

No issue ? Really important for my job.

Configuration :

OSX LION 18.2
Mac early 2011 (end of the year 2011) macbook pro
Screen on the adapter : Samsung F2380M

It looks like you have a device that is not based on DisplayLink attached at some time? Is this the device that doesn't work?

I've >

Eizo screen plugged with mini-dvi on my MacBook Pro + usb hub (attached to the screen)

I've also a Spyder datacolor (color probe) attached on the screen Eizo on the hub

I've previously bought a device in usb 2.0 based on display link were my second screen was plugged (Samsung F2380M)

It's all...

NOTE : when I plug and unplug the device (3.0) the sound on the macbook cut and comeback 2seconds later

Default DL3x00 and public alpha driver: nothing works?

I seem to have the same problem:

I installed the public alpha driver, rebooted, waited 2 minutes and then plugged in the USB cable. Nothing happens. All I see in the Console.app:

Code:
30-01-13 08:25:22,056 com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.displaylink.displaylinkmanager[10361]) Job specified non-existent working directory: /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/DisplayLink
30-01-13 08:25:22,057 com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.displaylink.displaylinkmanager[10361]) Job failed to exec(3). Setting up event to tell us when to try again: 2: No such file or directory
30-01-13 08:25:22,057 com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.displaylink.displaylinkmanager[10361]) Job failed to exec(3) for weird reason: 2
30-01-13 08:25:22,088 com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.displaylink.displaylinkmanager) Job should be able to exec(3) now.
30-01-13 08:25:22,089 com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.displaylink.displaylinkmanager) Throttling respawn: Will start in 5 seconds

I have attached the results of the DisplayLink information tool.

The message in the Console.app can be ignored, as logs tell the launchd job started 2 seconds later. What's interesting though is the fact we did not seem to detect any DisplayLink device arriving, despite logging USB connections and disconnections.
Are you sure you are attaching a DisplayLink device? Can you grab logs when the device is connected?

Thanks,
Michal

I have attached 3 files. The txt file is what I see during installation of the driver. The two zip files are collected using the DisplayLink Information Tool.
I'm using the Targus USB3 SuperSpeed, model no: ACP70EU. This DisplayLink device works fine on Windows laptops.

Very interesting. Do you happen to have a USB 2.0 A-B cable that you could connect the dock to the Mac with, instead of USB 3.0 cable which was shipped with it? That would help with diagnosing the problem further.
