Default How to identify my model?

I bought a DisplayLink adapter from OWC a year or two ago, currently running the 1.5 release on 10.6.6. I'm trying to find out what model it is, though I might just try 1.6b3 anyway to see if it solves the GUI freeze problem, which is my only complaint; otherwise it works great on my unibody mini.

The adapter is white, says "Arkview USB2 Display Adapter" and "Viewplex" on the front; back is "SN 23918E090102290", "USB-1612", and "USB 2.0 Graphic Adapter-White". Here is the System Profiler entry:

WS Tech USB-DVI:

Product ID: 0x0198
Vendor ID: 0x17e9 (DisplayLink (UK) Ltd.)
Version: 0.04
Serial Number: 0198-128649
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: DisplayLink
Location ID: 0x26440000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 500

The models that 1.6b3 supports are in the readme:

- DL115 / DL125 / DL165 / DL195 devices are supported.
- DL120 / DL160 devices are supported.

Best guess I can make is that mine is a DL198. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.

No, that's just the USB product ID - It's not the same as the chipset used by the device. Why not just install 1.6b3, since it supports the same hardware, and see if it resolves the problem? Worst case is you uninstall it and reinstall 1.5.
